The Key Account Manager Retail is responsible for building the business in a sustainable way with customers within the Retail channel. The main focus of the Key Account Manager is to develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with Superunie Headquarters & Superunie members. Besides, you are responsible for wholesalers, petrol account Shell and other customers like Bijenkorf. You will be part of the sales team and report directly to the Sales Manager, Wijnand de Ronde.

As the Key Account Manager, you are fully in charge of the instore foreclosure of the permanent and seasonal items. Executing and optimizing promotion, develop category plans together with the customer and constantly looking for new business opportunities.  With your ownership, business insight, agility and collaborative qualities, you have the possibility to drive the business to a maximum, whilst learning to flourish in a fast moving international environment. You are able to set up new channels and brings the energy to build.


  • Deep understanding of your business and your customer, and deliver the results in line with the targets;
  • Develop and maintain a collaborative relationship with your customers;
  • Understand and implement the strategic priorities of the company at your customers;
  • Translate company strategies into activation plans;
  • Make internal recommendations to improve the company and/or your business results;
  • Full ownership of the process from order to payment of your customer, in collaboration with a multifunctional team;
  • Lead annual negotiations with your customers.



  • Academic/ bachelor degree;
  • Relevant key account experience in a sales retail environment;
  • Experience in FMCG, preferred at a A-Brand Player;
  • International knowledge of retail clients is a pre;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English, French is a pre.
