POSITION

The position of Sr. Category & Trade Marketeer is a newly created position in the Dutch commercial team. It is an interest challenge for a candidate that brings already some seniority in category management as you must be able to indepently give the position more body. The Senior Category & Trade Marketeer collaborates closely with marketing and sales, playing a crucial role in developing and executing Bel’s category visions, strategies, and trade roadmaps. You will set objectives for each category, emphasizing the creation of effective commercial drivers tailored to the specificities of customers and channels. With a keen eye on category performance, this person will prioritize optimizing value and volume, ensure the effectiveness of assortment, pricing, promotional strategies, and in-store merchandising activities. with a reporting line to the Head Of Category Manager Benelux.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provides recommendations and takes accountability for the commercial investment and A&P spending strategy and plans;
  • Plays a critical role in demand review by offering proactive insights into Vol / Net Sales / Spending to the sales team, while anticipating risks and opportunities;
  • Ensures robust people development within the organization, with detailed work plans for team members and clearly defined roles and responsibilities;
  • Collaborates effectively with cross-functional teams within the BU, embodying key business behaviors such as avoiding duplication, fostering trust, sharing knowledge with pride, maintaining a solution-oriented approach, and demonstrating expertise in the business;
  • Identifies best practices and facilitates their dissemination among teams to enhance their effectiveness.

PROFILE CANDIDATE

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Academic degree either Bachelor or Master’s;
  • Relevant working experience preferably within FMCG;
  • Fluent in Dutch and English.
