We are currently looking for a:
KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER RETAIL
POSITION
As Key Account Manager within Bel’s Benelux Sales Team, you will be responsible for delivering your sales objectives and building strong customer partnerships across a broad and dynamic retail scope. Your customer scope includes: Superunie HQ and several members, including Plus and Dirk. Hard Discounters, the slicers business, including Maaz and Velder.
A proven track record in building strong customer relationships and delivering commercial results is essential for success in this role. You will be responsible for delivering the sales and profit plan across your customer portfolio. You will negotiate annual agreements, develop customer and category plans, define and implement promotional plans, and continuously identify new business opportunities. This role requires a strong commercial mindset and the ability to translate strategy into clear actions and results. You will work in a small, close-knit and enthusiastic sales team with a high level of ownership, autonomy and agility. In this role, you will report to Marlieke Haagen, Head of Retail.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Join a reputable family-owned company committed to long-term profitable and sustainable growth;
- Grow Bel’s business portfolio by developing iconic brands such as Mini Babybel, La Vache qui rit, Boursin and Port Salut;
- Manage and develop strategic customer relationships within the Dutch FMCG market;
- Drive category growth, revenue growth and profitability by developing and executing strong account strategies;
- Lead the commercial agenda for selected Superunie members, Hard Discounters and slicers;
- Contribute to the commercial relationship with Superunie HQ where relevant;
- Translate commercial strategy into concrete action plans, execution and results;
- Act as a trusted business partner by working closely with customers and internal stakeholders such as Marketing, Category Management & Supply Chain;
- Conduct financial analyses and forecasting to identify and unlock growth opportunities;
- Take ownership of annual negotiations, customer agreements and promotional plans;
- Identify new business opportunities and build long-term customer partnerships across different retail channels and customer models.
PROFILE CANDIDATE
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree;
- Relevant commercial experience, preferably within FMCG;
- Proven experience in key account management;
- Experience with HQ account management is a plus;
- Experience with international buying groups or buying clubs is a pre;
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
