After the recent acquisition in 2018 by Bencis Capital Partners, a new management team has started building the organization of tomorrow to realize this ambition. An important element in this is the vision on “digital fitness”. Fit For Free and SportCity strive not only to provide the customer with an excellent experience in the fitness centers, but also to add value to the customer’s everyday life and health goals beyond those centers.
For Fit for Free/ SportCity we are currently looking for a:
FINANCE MANAGER
POSITION
The Finance Manager of Fit for Free/ SportCity is responsible for the further professionalization and streamlining of the financial department in all its facets. The Finance department is currently undergoing a restructuring and many of the core processes will change over the coming months. As such, beside the financial core activities, the Finance Manager needs to be an expert in the implementation of continuous process improvements. You are responsible of training, coaching and supervising the team. In total 9,8 FTE who are divided in the following teams: Accounts Payable (5,3 FTE), Treasury (1,0 FTE), Accounts Receivable (1,0 FTE) and GL Accountants (2,5 FTE). You take the lead in monthly reporting and ensure that all financial information is accurate and complete. In this role you will report to Robin Paul Maas, Head of Financial Control.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure that the teams are performing all month end closing tasks and all other required management reports;
- Review the balance sheet, ensure reconciliations are performed;
- The Finance Manager is a pro-active, driven and ambitious person who gets energy and satisfaction from implementing improvements and also wants to create the conditions for success himself;
- Responsible for optimizing accounting systems, processes and principles with the aim of improving uniformity, transparency and efficiency in monthly reporting;
- Responsible for the administrative department (9,8 FTE): invoicing, debtors and creditors;
- Develop best practice financial accounting and control procedures and continually review the process and procedures to maximize impact and efficiency;
- Responsible for cash flow management;
- Sparring partner for CFO, financial control, management team and external accountant.
PROFILE CANDIDATE
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor or academic degree, preferred in business economics;
- Experienced in continuous process improvement (Six Sigma is a pre);
- Able to independently manage the administration (including month and year-end closing);
- Very good Excell skills.
