KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER AHOLD
POSITION
You will be responsible for the accounts Ahold (Albert Heijn, BOL.com, Etos) and Superunie HQ. You are accountable for developing and executing excellent Customer Joint Business plans (in association with leveraging capabilities of multifunctional team members) which are essential to representing Duracell’s products to our retail customers. As a Key Account Manager you will influence our customer’s decisions in critical business areas by using conceptual selling techniques and data-based presentations. For consumer accounts, this involves developing assortment, shelving, pricing, and merchandising strategies, based on consumer research that gives us insights into what drives shopper purchase behaviour. You will create business plans which will deliver our brand volume, and help customers to develop programs which will build the business for them and us.
In short, you will be delivering net sales, contribution margin, market share and achieving sales targets at Duracell customers. The overall purpose is building collaborative external partnerships, and so leading Duracell to win consistently. In this role you will report to the Sales Director Retail Benelux, Nienke van Ottele.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Create and implement annual Joint Business Plans with the customer to deliver Net Sales, Contribution Margin and Market Share
- Implement Duracell value creation model at customer making Duracell the preferred partners with existing customers
- Achieve objectives such as forecast and billing accuracy
- Establish Duracell as preferred customer supplier
- Execute the aligned promo & pricing plans to create maximum value for Duracell and the customer
- Work closely with the multi-functional team (especially (Trade) Marketing, Customer Category Manager) to define added value for Duracell and the customer
- Accountable for perfect in store execution across all his/her channels & stores
- Work with (Trade) Marketing to deliver tailored selling of initiatives, develop and agree engaging plans to meet or exceed distribution objectives and sales fundamentals (shelf, display, feature);
- Work closely with our Field Sales coordinator
- Share and re-apply best in class projects / results among peers / teams.
PROFILE CANDIDATE
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor/Master degree in Business, Economics or similar;
- Relevant experience in FMCG account management;
- Fluent in Dutch and English.
RELEVANT COMPETENCIES
- Ability to develop & apply Joint Business Planning in line with the Duracell strategy;
- Knows how to create customer recommendations and solutions based on the actual drivers of customers’ key financial metrics and objectives;
- Masters the use of negotiation; can successfully win over challenging dissenters to reach a mutual win-win agreement;
- Strong ability to negotiate in a competitive environment and the ability to cope with stressful situations;
- Ability to overcome obstacles in conventional buying processes to identify sources of genuine value for the customer and for Duracell;
- Consistently delivers execution with efficient use of resources and in a timely manner;
- Strong analytical skills, with a focus on financials;
