ORGANISATION
Holland Dairy Ethiopia (+200FTE) was founded in 2009 by Dutch entrepreneurs and is currently supported by Veris Investments, a Dutch agribusiness investor, and Friesland Campina. Holland Dairy PLC produces yoghurt, pasteurized milk, and other dairy products at its milk processing plant in Debre Zeit, about 40 kilometres south of the Ethiopian capital Addis Abeba. The company has a strong market position in the Ethiopian dairy market, particularly in yoghurt products, and is in the process of further strengthening this market position by investing in the supply chain, production facilities, and commerce department.
SALES & COMMERCE OPERATIONS DIRECTOR
POSITION
For the commercial team we are looking for a Sales & Commerce Operations Director. You will be part of the Holland Dairy Management Team and fully responsible for the management of Field Sales, Telesales & distribution teams. Key component is the delivery of expected sales volumes, product mix and revenue targets. You will directly report to Merijn Goris, General Manager. He has gained his FMCG experience at Heineken and always wanted to apply his commercial background abroad. Together with his family (2 little children) he has taken this opportunity and is now located in Addis. Currently looking for someone to join his team and of course who dares to follow his or her dream just like him.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design, implement & execute sales strategies;
- Design, implement & execute Route to Market strategies;
- Oversee Trade Census execution and design, implementation & execution of channel strategies;
- Implement Sales Force Automation Software;
- Design, implement & execute Field Sales ways of working in line with channel strategies;
- Establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual/monthly/weekly sales targets;
- Develop data-driven sales reports to track performance and sharpen sales strategies;
- Lead the digitalization of commerce related business/IT processes
PROFILE CANDIDATE
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- Academic background with MA degree in business & economics;
- Proven track record as commercial/sales manager in the FMCG sector;
- Affinity with and knowledge of commerce related IT processes;
- Strong data driven sales approach with excellent knowledge of Excel and PowerBI;
RELEVANT COMPETENCES
- A culturally sensitive team player with excellent English skills (speech and writing);
- Hands-on approach with an entrepreneurial mindset;
- Disciplined and process-focused way of working;
- Experience and/or affinity with working in emerging markets.
